DAVIDCARSON’s all over the place schedule of events for spring 2001:
in march 2001 david is appearing at uc irvine, in irvine, california, as part of the intersections of technology, arts, and culture (a series of research presentations at uci), surfing in the caribbean (http://www.davidcarsondesign.com/DCD_email_updates/DCsurf1.jpg) (http://www.davidcarsondesign.com/DCD_email_updates/DCsurf2.jpg), working on multiple projects in his studio in new york and taking time
out for 3 days of art/printmaking the old fashioned way with hank hine at graphic studio in tampa florida (in cooperation with the atlanta center for the arts).
in april david’s doing a workshop at the university of georgia in athens, appearing at seybold in boston as a panelist, and giving talks at quiksilver in huntington beach, columbia college in chicago, the university of florida in st. augustine, the annual aiga bash in omaha, nebraska, the university of arizona in tucson, and montreal & toronto in canada.
in may david’s an official judge for an international flash competition in barcelona
(http://www.onlineflashfilmfestival.com/) before he heads to paris for a lecture & party celebrating the opening of his new office there. then he’s spending a week in barcelona with index books in conjunction with the release of the spanish edition of the revised end of print. he’s also doing a two-day workshop & lecture in munich and appearing as a special guest & lecturer at a design conference in moscow.
in june david’s speaking at the how design conference in san francisco, where he’ll be premiering his new book, probes (featuring 600 + illustrated pages with quotes from marshall mcluhan)

this summer & beyond…
in july he spends the month surfing in pt. dume, california
and then in august travels to brazil for a workshop & lecture
and on to norway at the end of september he’ll also be in paris for the opening of his exhibition at fnac in late september
in october he’ll be appearing at the portfolio center in atlanta, georgia
